"We know that in many communities across our Province, Royal Canadian Legion branches are often key focal points not just for our Veterans, but for events, celebrations and gatherings of all kinds. They bring people of all ages together, and provide programming and services that improve the well-being of their communities. At the same time, we know that aging Veterans and reduced national funding has left many Legion branches in dire need of maintenance and repairs.

In order to help maintain these important community gathering spaces, and to honour the legacy of our Veterans, a re-elected Liberal Government will introduce the Legion Maintenance Allowance. This allowance will provide 20 annual grants of up to $25,000 per year to Legion Branches for critical maintenance, repairs and upgrades, as well as improved safety and accessibility measures."

A re-elected Hogan Government will double the funding for the Grants to Youth Organizations to a total of $552,000.
