“I want this world to be left in a better position than it was when I came into it for everybody, not just corporations and the wealthy.”

Skadi Green is a letter carrier, union organizer, renter and community advocate who has lived in the Greater Vancouver region since 2010. Her experience as a worker and organizer has shaped her focus on affordability, workers’ rights, environmental protection and ensuring people have a meaningful voice in decisions that affect their communities.

Originally from New Brunswick, Skadi grew up in rural communities and small towns before moving across the country and settling in British Columbia. She quickly developed a strong connection to the province and the Lower Mainland and wants to see its communities and natural environment thrive for everyone.

Skadi currently works as a letter carrier with Canada Post in South Vancouver and has spent close to five years in that role. Before joining Canada Post, she worked for a decade as a package driver with UPS, delivering throughout the Lower Mainland.

She has been an active union member throughout her career, first with the Teamsters and now with the Canadian Union of Postal Workers. As a CUPW steward and organizer, Skadi has helped organize rallies, build relationships between unions and community groups and advocate for workers and public services.

Skadi is also an experienced public speaker and has spoken at labour organizing events, including Labour Notes’ 2025 Troublemakers School. She believes strong organizing depends on clear communication, bringing people together around shared interests and being willing to have difficult conversations.

As a trans woman, renter and environmentalist, Skadi brings personal experience with the pressures facing workers and communities. She is running in Delta South to advocate for stronger protections for working people, greater affordability, environmental stewardship and public decision-making that gives local communities a real voice.
