Gulam Firdos

I am running for Burnaby City Council as an Independent Liberal to bring experience, community commitment, and leadership to our growing city.

As a City Planner and former Board of Variance Member, I understand challenges in the development of Burnaby and importance of municipal decision-making.

My objective is to improve the planning process through a universally adaptable and improved Official Community Plan and Land use By Laws, reduce approval time, for Building Permits, find meaningful public consultation, ensure residents have a stronger voice in decision making affecting their communities.

I will fight for improved health-care services so Burnaby residents can access timely care close to home.

Advocate for Social Housing for low-income residents, families, and seniors

I believe every resident deserves to feel safe. I will support effective crime-prevention initiatives for a stronger community. to improve public safety.
