Dr. Allen Chen was born in Taiwan and raised in Vancouver since 1994. He holds a Doctor of Medicine degree and has dedicated his career to healthcare and senior care, founding seven senior day programs serving people with dementia.

As a leukemia patient and volunteer at Confederation Seniors’ Centre, Allen understands firsthand the healthcare and senior care challenges facing patients, seniors, and families.

With only 312 family doctors practising in Burnaby, Allen supports more community-based medical clinics across North, South, East, and Central Burnaby. Building on the MOSAIC Community Clinic model, he supports affordable City-owned spaces for non-profit healthcare providers to attract more family doctors and specialists. He will also advocate for Burnaby Hospital Phase 2 development.

His priorities include senior services, safer streets and neighbourhoods, parks, playgrounds, and responsible management of taxpayers’ money.

As an independent candidate, Allen is running to serve Burnaby and strengthen community healthcare for everyone.
