Judy Vanta is your NDP candidate for Burgeo-La Polie

Judy Vanta has been fighting for the rights of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians for decades. After a full career at the Janeway Hospital, she moved to the NL Federation of Labour, where as a Workers’ Advisor she helped both union and non-union workers navigate compensation claims with Workplace NL.

A past president of the St. John’s and District Labour Council, Judy was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012, and received the Confederation 75th Anniversary Medal in 2024 for her contributions to society.

Judy is a long-time NDP supporter and organizer who is committed to the core values of the NDP: getting a better deal for everyday Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.
