David has called Burnaby home for nearly a decade. Raised in Vancouver, he and his wife chose South Burnaby to raise their child and build their family.

A UBC graduate, David began work in hospitality with well-known names like JOEY and Fairmont before moving into recruitment and executive search, working across a range of organizations including Robert Half and Rolls-Royce. His career has taken him from serving customers and working alongside frontline employees to sitting across the table from CEOs and helping organizations find senior leadership talent.

Those experiences taught David a lesson he has carried with him: real leadership means treating the janitor with the same respect as the CEO. Listen first, understand where people are coming from, and never assume that someone's title determines the value of their voice.

David has brought that approach into his community leadership. He has organized residents around neighbourhood concerns, pressed elected officials to listen, advocated for greater transparency and meaningful public consultation, and spoken publicly in support of completing Burnaby Hospital Phase 2.

Along the way, David has heard directly from families, seniors, workers, businesses, and community organizations about the challenges facing Burnaby—from affordability and public safety to infrastructure, taxation, and the efficiency of public services.

David is running for Burnaby City Council because he believes residents deserve a City Hall that listens before it decides, explains how and why decisions are made, respects the taxpayers who fund it, and is prepared to act when residents raise legitimate concerns.

He wants to represent families like his own and people from all walks of life across Burnaby, bringing practical, accountable, and responsive leadership to City Hall.
