Craig Woods represents parents and the community by ensuring our students receive quality learning opportunities through:
• student mental health supports
• well resources classrooms
• School Board transparency and accountability

Craigs contributions to date include helping with the implementation of student wellbeing initiatives in schools; shaping the development of Education Assistant resources and services; and supporting the District’s Mental Health Task Force. Craig also continues to support parents as the School Board representative for the District Parent Advisory Council (DPAC).

Craig has focused his career on education and training with work in social, public and post-secondary services, and as your School Board Trustee.  This includes supporting diversity and inclusion in the workplace and helping new Canadians secure sustainable employment here in Coquitlam. Craig currently also works for the Industry Training Authority (ITA) supporting the apprenticeship and trades training needs in our province.

Craig Woods is known for his engagement and outreach work, supporting broader consultative processes and awareness, while helping to build positive social impact.

Craig WOODS resides in Coquitlam with his wife and two children who are active and former students of SD43. In community, Craig is a CMFSC soccer coach and member of both the Coquitlam Foundation Board and its Grants and Scholarship Committee.

To put parents and our children's needs first through:
 Better supports for student mental health
 Keeping resources in the classroom
 Board accountability

Supports for student mental health: Craig will continue to help drive the Mental Health Task Force and its goal of social, emotional, and mental well-being for students in schools, while also working with community stakeholders to provide services in the Tri-Cities.

Keeping resources in the classroom: Craig will continue with his commitment to focus on sustaining healthy staffing levels to support a sustainable education system that continues to strive to meet the high level of educational services expected of SD43.

Board accountability: Craig will strive to ensure the Coquitlam School District is transparent, sustainable, and responsible with taxpayer’s dollars.
