Clinton Emslie is a devoted community leader with a proven record of community service. His devotion to community service earned him a Community Leadership Award from Canada’s Prime Minister in 2018. Inspiration, Creativity, and Leadership are the pillars of Clinton's career and this is what he brings to Cariboo-Prince George. Clinton is a true and proven leader ready to fight for the community.
Born and raised in South Africa, Clinton immigrated to Canada over a decade ago, and has established deep roots and connections in the community, where he has worked to improve mental health services for the people of Cariboo-Prince George. His efforts to reduce barriers for Healthcare workers to transition internationally or interprovincially are supported by his life partner, a Psychotherapist with more than thirty years of experience in mental health care services. Clinton holds two business degrees, a diploma in Canadian Immigration Law, and has more than thirty years of experience in manufacturing and corporate industries.
Clinton has seen firsthand the opportunities and challenges that middle class families face every day, and he understands the issues and priorities of Cariboo-Prince George. Affordability, the tariff crisis on our timber industries, crime and addiction problems, access to healthcare, and economic issues that affect jobs and businesses are top of mind concerns. Clinton believes that creating a viable tourism industry for the Cariboo-Prince George riding is of utmost importance. It will diversify our offerings to the rest of Canada, beyond the timber that we are so well known for.
The people of Cariboo-Prince George have a trusted and experienced candidate who will bring a powerful voice to Ottawa to fight for a stronger middle class, and help build an economy that works for all Canadians. Clinton will never stop working hard to build a better future for Cariboo-Prince George, where everyone has an equal and fair chance at success.
