Virginia Bremner came to Vancouver from the Philippines at the young age of seven, following the tragic loss of her father. Virginia’s mother (lovingly known as Nanay) navigated the challenges of being a new immigrant while raising her ten children as a single mother. Despite these tragic circumstances, Nanay raised her children with deep family values and strong compassionate leadership.

Dr. Farrukh Chishtie is an atmospheric, climate and earth observation scientist with extensive experience in experimental and modelling disciplines. He has three Masters degrees, two PhDs and more than 20 years’ research experience in Applied Mathematics and Education specializing in environment and sustainability. Along with grassroots advocacy on climate change and environmental degradation, he aims for holistic understanding and meaningful action.
