Robert has been a champion for Indigenous peoples and families in Saskatchewan. Born in Buffalo Narrows to Métis parents, Robert was taken from his family as a young child and raised in Prince Albert. Robert has felt the pain and challenges many Indigenous peoples face across Canada and he has worked tirelessly to advance meaningful reconciliation. He has advocated for good, culturally appropriate, services as President of the Metis Nation of Saskatchewan and Executive Director of the Saskatoon Indian – Metis Friendship Center.
