Diandra Bruised Head was raised on the Kainai/Blood Reserve, and currently serves as a Councillor for the Nation. She received her Renewable Resources Management diploma from Lethbridge College and a Bachelors of Science degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Lethbridge. Much of her background has been geared towards land management with traditional and Blackfoot cultural lenses. Diandra worked as the Climate Change Coordinator for her Tribe prior to her Councillorship, where she helped raise community awareness around climate change adaptation and mitigation projects, alongside other members of the Kainai Ecosystem Protection Association (KEPA). This led to rallying a collective stance for the reclamation and restoration of Native Prairie Grasslands.
