With the One Delta team, Incumbent Councillor Jennifer Johal is seeking a second term, building on her first‑term focus on strengthening Delta’s business community. She’s running to ensure the interests of local employers and entrepreneurs continue to be heard, respected and reflected in every decision at City Hall.

First elected in 2022, Jennifer brings experience in education and business to local government. A graduate of Simon Fraser University with degrees in Geography and Education, she began her career as an elementary school teacher and later transitioned into the private sector and now leads financial operations for her family business, Raja Trailer and Equipment Sales, located in Delta’s Tilbury industrial area.

Through her work, she has gained firsthand insight into the needs of local employers, workers and families, and understands the importance of a strong and competitive local economy.

At City Hall, Jennifer serves as Chair of the Diversity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism Committee and as Council Liaison to the Delta Chamber of Commerce, Kirkland House, and Delta School District, where she works to strengthen relationships between local government and the business community.

Jennifer believes local government should be accessible, inclusive, and focused on delivering real results. As a councillor, she is dedicated to supporting local businesses, young families, and vibrant neighbourhoods, while building trust and ensuring every resident feels heard.

Jennifer is married to her husband Bree and is a proud mom to their two children, Madison and Rockwell. Being a mom, Jennifer understands the importance of planning for the future, and making thoughtful, practical decisions that strengthen the community for the next generation.
