Biographie
Lara Honrado is focused on the issues that matter most to the people of Vancouver-South Granville: affordability, protecting healthcare and other public services that matter, and building a strong and resilient economy.
She led community relations for Vancouver’s former mayor, where she supported a range of issues including economic development, reconciliation, and climate change while strengthening relationships with diverse local communities. As a senior leader, she was instrumental in developing the City of Vancouver’s 2020-2029 cultural plan and guiding efforts to address equity in urban planning and pandemic emergency response.

Lara works with the United Nations and the world’s leading experts on AI to help the public understand the impacts of technology on society. She is proud to be part of the BC NDP team holding big tech companies accountable for online harms.
Deeply committed to supporting arts and culture, Lara serves on the board of 221A where she helps steward BC’s first cultural land trust.
Lara is a longtime Vancouver resident and a proud parent to two children.
