My first 360 days to implement when I become your next Vancouver City Councillor:
I will implement a pilot project for ‘Social (Rx) Prescribing in Vancouver to… Increasing our sense of connectedness, safety, and belonging. Ensuring young people can afford to live, play and work in Vancouver. Preventing healthcare burnout. Addressing the homelessness and homelessness in seniors. Designing and implementing a livable city for all. (It means we have to start now since we have an aging population we want to support and encourage outdoor activities. We must increase portable washrooms, benches, more free public and shaded spaces where young families and seniors can go to socialize around the city). Bridging, facilitating, and connecting all parties: Businesses, nonprofits, faith communities, government services, philanthropists, academic establishment, city officials. Implementing citywide living wage. (That means we have to find effective ways to remove any existing red tapes or barriers for anyone who wants to start a business and access support. I will work with local small businesses to ensure theirs can grow, succeed and be profitable).
