Il est possible qu'il le fasse plus tard!
Biographie
Growing up in BC in the 90s, Teri watched his family stretch every dollar, choosing between bills and groceries. He saw neighbours fall through the cracks of systems that were supposed to help them.
As a queer and neurodivergent kid, Teri learned early what it felt like to be unseen. Trying to find his way in a world that wasn’t built for people like him, those early struggles lit a fire in Teri to fight for a government that doesn’t just serve the powerful, but one that truly sees, hears, and lifts everyone up.
In 2022, Teri made history as BC’s first openly transgender man elected to public office as a School Trustee in Chilliwack. For Teri the priority was fighting for inclusive education, protecting vulnerable students, and making sure every decision he made reflected a core belief: that no one should be left behind because of who they are or where they come from.
Now, he is stepping forward to represent the people of Chilliwack–Hope on the national stage because, as Teri knows, the issues we face aren’t just headlines, they’re our shared reality.
Rising costs on everything from groceries to rent, local economies under pressure, small businesses barely staying afloat, families being priced out of the communities they love means people are stretched too thin. It’s time for the federal government to step up, meet us where we are, and deliver what people really need.
As a marketing professional, former farmer and director of the Chilliwack Market, Teri understands what it takes to support local economies, food systems, and small businesses. He believes in lowering barriers for everyone and investing in sustainable, community-led solutions.
Teri believes we have to stand firm against the rise of fear-based politics, because we’ve seen what happens when we don’t. Attacks on education, on 2SLGBTQIA+ rights, and on truth and reconciliation are already happening. They are real, and they are dangerous. Teri is determined to not let them take root in our communities.
Teri is offering a different path - one grounded in hope, unity, and action. Teri stands shoulder to shoulder with First Nations, immigrants, farmers and with families and with anyone tired of being told to pick a side.
For Teri, this campaign isn’t about him. It’s about us. He’s asking you to walk beside him because the future we want is one we build together.
