Elaine Allan, BA, MBA
I’ve lived in the West End with my family for over two decades. I know this riding – its history, its challenges, and its potential. Vancouver Centre has long been a place of resilience and progress, home to some of the bravest people in our county’s history. This riding was ground zero for the first AIDS epidemic – individuals who fought against discrimination in the healthcare system and benefit plans. Their struggle reminds us that leadership matters, that policy matters, and who we elect matters.
For too long, the people of Vancouver Centre have been let down by the status quo of the Trudeau/NDP coalition. Skyrocketing housing costs, rising crime, and a weak economy have made life harder for families, seniors, and young professionals alike.
My vision is clear – Vancouver Centre must reclaim its position as a global leader in innovation, job creation, and economic growth.
Elaine Allan has held executive leadership roles in both the private and non-profit sectors, including having served as CEO of Skills Canada BC, where she promoted careers in the skilled trades and technology sectors to youth in the province. She has also led organizations in supporting vulnerable populations on Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, harnessing both the power of technology and education to create positive changes in the community.
Elaine’s time in Silicon Valley working on start-ups sharpened her passion for innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic development.
Elaine Allan was a key witness for the Crown in the trial of serial killer Robert Pickton. This experience deepened her commitment to public safety and the need to create policies that protect vulnerable populations.
Elaine holds a BA from Carleton University, an MBA (Hon.) from Kaplan University (now Perdue Global).
