The BC Greens are thrilled to announce Kurt Nielsen as their candidate for Surrey-Newton.

Born and raised in Surrey-Newton, Kurt has a deep connection to his community and its people. Growing up in Newton, he has witnessed both the challenges and opportunities the region faces. His journey from a local resident to a political candidate has been shaped by a passion for sustainability, social equity, and a desire to build a prosperous future for all.

“I believe that the BC Green Party is uniquely positioned to bring positive change through innovative solutions, a commitment to environmental stewardship, and policies that prioritize the well-being of future generations. My goal is to represent Surrey-Newton by advocating for a sustainable economy, affordable housing, and an accessible healthcare system that serves everyone fairly. Together, we can make Surrey-Newton a model for progressive change and resilience.
