This triumph fueled Meagan’s commitment to her community, leading her to run for council, where she served four terms, accumulating a wealth of experience in navigating the intricacies of local governance. For over 35 years, Meagan has championed the cause of children and families, advocating for inclusive childcare options and supporting children with diverse needs. Outside of her professional career, Meagan and her husband – of 31 years – Steve have called Esquimalt home for 30 years. They have two grown sons and two beautiful grandchildren.
