I have had the pleasure to call North Vancouver home for over 20 years and consider myself fortunate to live in such a beautiful place with my wife Nicole, our two teenage children, and beloved dog Luna.
Once a journalist, now an association executive director, in my spare time I enjoy snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, and photography. A lifelong learner, I recently earned my MA in Leadership. My volunteer work includes:
- Chair of the Lookout Housing and Health Foundation
- Three advisory committees, Langara College
- Volunteer Hastings Creek data collector, PSEC
- Various volunteer work for LVCA, MP Jonathan Wilkinson, and industry associations
As a councillor, I would bring my skills and training in leadership to work collaboratively in a way that moves us forward to better housing options, safer streets, and the protection of our environment. I commit to:
- Working with council to find innovative ways to update and evolve our land use policies to give all generations an option to call the North Shore a place to live, work, and play in
- Advocating for safe street design to foster a safe coexistence between cars, bikes, and pedestrians
- Find innovative ways to accelerate our efforts to reduce the effects and danger of climate change.
We can follow the successes of other municipalities around housing policy and safe streets. We can be a leader in climate action and resilience.
I look forward to working with a new council of bold, courageous leaders for progressive change we can be proud of.
