Steve Just

Indépendant pour Chilliwack Conseil
These are priorities I'd work toward with council. I care about people: safer streets, everyday costs, local businesses and the future of our community. I'll listen, do my homework and be honest about what we can get done.

Businesses, Jobs, & Affordability

Small Businesses

Listen to local business owners, work to make city processes easier to navigate and support opportunities for businesses and jobs close to home.

Local Government, Planning, & Democracy

Budgeting

Examine spending carefully, ask what decisions will cost residents and weigh the full costs and benefits before supporting new commitments.

Good Governance

Study the facts, work respectfully with the mayor and council, and explain my decisions honestly.

Long-Term Plan

Plan growth alongside roads, utilities and community services, with respect for our neighbourhoods and agricultural land.

Public Engagement

Listen to residents before making decisions and understand how proposals affect families, seniors, farmers and local businesses.

Mental Health, Drugs, & Addiction

Public Drug Use

Work with council and the responsible agencies for safer streets, addressing open drug use through treatment, mental-health support and accountability.

I want safer streets and public spaces for everyone. Housing alone isn't the answer. We also need to address addiction, mental illness and the impact of open drug use on our neighbourhoods and businesses. People struggling need meaningful help, and residents deserve to feel safe. I would work with council and the agencies responsible to push for treatment, mental-health support and accountability.

Reconciliation & Indigenous Nations

Indigenous Relationships

Build respectful relationships with local Indigenous communities through listening and meaningful collaboration.

Everything else

Agriculture & Farmland

Protect agricultural land and listen directly to farmers when growth decisions affect their work and the future of farming in Chilliwack.

I'm a husband, father of two and owner of Tek Solutions Canada. Chilliwack has been home since 2000. One thing my customers say about me is that I care. I'd bring that same care to council. Help people, find a solution, finish the job.

I grew up in Vancouver and moved to Chilliwack in 2000. This is where I met my wife, built my business and am raising our two boys. Chilliwack is home, and I care about where it goes from here.

One thing my customers say about me is that I care. That means a lot to me. At Tek Solutions Canada, I take the time to listen, understand what someone needs and help them find a solution. I care about the person who comes through the door, and I stand behind my work.

I hear about the pressures facing families, seniors and small businesses, and I understand that every dollar matters. I would bring that same care for people to council.

My past community involvement includes being a Rotarian, coaching youth flag football and serving on the Chilliwack Giants executive. I am no longer involved with Rotary or the Giants, but those experiences taught me the value of teamwork, showing up and following through.

I would bring that same approach to council: ask questions, listen to residents, understand the costs and work with the mayor and other councillors to make practical decisions.

Help people, find a solution, finish the job.

I'm running because I care about people and this community. I'm a local business owner and dad who wants safer streets, sensible spending and a council that listens. I'd bring the same care to this job that my customers know me for.

I'm running because I care about the people who live here. This is where my wife and I are raising our boys, where I run my business and where I've built my life.

At the shop, people come to me because they need help. I listen, ask questions and try to find a solution that works for them. My customers tell me I care, and that means a lot to me.

I want people to feel they can talk to me and be taken seriously. Whether you're worried about safety, the cost of living, your business or changes in your neighbourhood, I want to understand what you're dealing with.

I don't have every answer, and one councillor can't do everything. I'd work with the mayor and council, learn what I need to know and look carefully at what the city can afford and deliver.

These are priorities I'd work toward, not guaranteed outcomes. I'll listen, do my homework, explain my decisions and follow through on the work I take on.

Help people, find a solution, finish the job.
