Growth that strengthens community
Housing growth needs to match our needs so that people can find a home in their community as their housing needs change. From aging seniors to new parents, everyone benefits when we can live near the friends and family that support us. To do this we must:
- Build the types of homes that people need
- Remove barriers to multi-generational housing projects
- Diversify rental home options
- Protect renters displaced by development
Representation for all generations
Council decisions are better when input reflects all residents and their needs. But with less free time to advocate for themselves, younger residents and working families are often under-represented in community consultation. These residents need a voice at the Council table. I know how to turn that perspective into better decisions and outcomes for everyone. To do this I will:
- Ensure all voices — not just the loudest — are considered in key decisions
- Encourage positive, respectful, and future-oriented civic discourse
- Support the infrastructure young families need
A more affordable North Vancouver
CNV's decisions impact your family's largest costs: housing and transportation. To improve affordability we can:
- Increase transit, car share, and safe mobility options
- Lower the cost of building new homes
- Increase non-market housing options
- Retain existing affordable rentals

Raison de la candidature
Many North Vancouverites worry there can’t be a future here for them or their loved ones due to our housing shortage. Recent growth has not produced the right homes for our families and workers, especially during life changes like downsizing due to aging, starting a family, or leaving a childhood home. This lack of attainable housing options makes people leave our community, weakens our social support networks, and is changing who can afford to call North Vancouver home.
We need to grow differently. That means housing options for all generations, more ground-oriented and family-sized homes in established neighbourhoods, and housing that stays affordable long term.
Our complex housing challenges deserve real solutions. As a public sector scientist and educator, I’m driven by solving hard problems for my community. I’ll bring that dedication to Council to ensure all generations of North Vancouverites see a future here in Canada’s most liveable small city.
