After teaching shop in a high school for 13 years, Tim Grant edited Green Teacher, a non-profit magazine for youth educators, for 25 years before retiring.
On the volunteer side, he has served for many years in many community associations, including the most active residents’ association in Toronto.
He has been a provincial Green candidate four times and a federal Green candidate twice. He currently serves as the Transportation Critic for both the provincial and federal Green Parties. What he loves about Greens is their focus on finding innovative solutions to tough problems.
Tim has for years advocated for strong climate action, municipalities to receive more than 10% of tax dollars and an ability to make decisions that can’t be overturned by the province, and a universal basic income that ensures everyone has the resources to fully participate in the economy.
