Tamara Stomp is a dedicated lawyer, advocate, and community leader with a long history of public service. Born and raised in Kingsville, Tamara’s roots run deep in Essex County. Her family owned a local grocery store, and her father served on Kingsville Council while volunteering extensively with the Lions Club. With 42 years of experience as a high-conflict family law litigation lawyer, Tamara has built a reputation as a strong advocate who understands complex issues and decision-making.

Tamara was elected by her peers to the governing board of the Law Society of Ontario in 1995 and later served on Kingsville Council from 2003 to 2014, including four years as Deputy Mayor. She has contributed to numerous committees, including Planning, Heritage Advisory, Parks and Recreation, Port Authority, and Economic Development, and served for 11 years on the Essex Region Conservation Authority. Her experience includes to Essex County Council, where she also sat on the Health Unit board and Climate Change Committee. With her extensive governance experience, strategic planning expertise, and financial oversight, Tamara is prepared to deliver results for Essex.

Tamara has been involved with numerous nonprofit and community organizations. Currently, she serves as Chair of Friends of John R. Park Homestead, sits on the board of Kingsville Military Museum, and is a member of the Windsor chapter of the Canadian Federation of University Women. Tamara continues to be involved in numerous local economic, planning and climate change issues. She is often sought out for her insight when it comes to these issues.
