My approach starts with listening to the people of Kelowna Centre and taking their concerns directly to Victoria. Over the past two years, I have worked with residents, families, health-care professionals, community organizations and local businesses to bring attention to the issues affecting our community and push for action.
Public safety will remain a priority. I will continue advocating for stronger protections for victims of intimate partner violence, greater accountability for repeat offenders and policies that restore safety and confidence in our neighbourhoods. This includes continuing the work I have done alongside the family of Bailey McCourt to advocate for meaningful changes that better protect victims.
On health care, Kelowna’s rapid growth means our services must keep pace. I will continue pushing for better access to doctors, nurses and specialists, reliable services at Kelowna General Hospital, shorter waits and greater accountability when patients fall through the cracks.
Affordability and economic opportunity are also fundamental. We need to make it easier to build the housing our growing community needs, reduce unnecessary costs and red tape, support local businesses and create the conditions for investment and good-paying jobs. Government must respect taxpayers and focus spending on the services British Columbians rely on.
I will continue standing up for seniors and vulnerable residents, including better access to appropriate housing, long-term care and community supports that allow people to live with dignity and independence.
These priorities are underpinned by a belief in personal responsibility, fiscal discipline, strong families, safe communities and a government that is accountable to the people it serves. Working with the Conservative Party of BC team, I will continue advocating for practical solutions that strengthen Kelowna Centre and build a safer, healthier and more prosperous British Columbia.

"We will cut provincial income taxes by $1,000 a year for nearly every working British Columbian and $2,000 for the average couple, providing much-needed relief to families struggling with the rising cost of living.
A Conservative government will raise BC’s basic personal exemption from $13,216 to $32,000, making it the most generous in Canada. For a typical two-income family, that means $167 more every month to help cover the rising cost of gas, groceries, and everyday essentials."

"British Columbia has the resources, workers and strategic location to become a global energy leader. The BC Conservatives’ Energy Superpower Plan will get our province building again, doubling natural gas production by 2032 and tripling it by 2035, creating good-paying jobs, attracting billions in investment and generating new revenue for the services British Columbians rely on." — conservativebc.ca, retrieved 2026-10-13
"We’ll cut unnecessary red tape, speed up project approvals, build the power and infrastructure needed for growth, bring investment and corporate headquarters back to B.C., and put First Nations partnership and ownership at the centre of new development." — conservativebc.ca, retrieved 2026-10-13

"• Work with industry, First Nations and BC universities and colleges to develop a clear plan for building up the labour market for new projects.
• Bring an LNG focus on skills-to-employment strategy with a particular focus on future good-paying jobs in natural gas, LNG, and NGL operations for BC grads."
— BC Energy Superpower Plan, retrieved 2026-10-13
"• The LNG sector has less of a presence in BC today than it did a decade ago. We will encourage the proponents of BC LNG and BC oil and gas to come back home to BC, to domicile here and increase their physical presence in the province where they operate.
• We will do this in a framework that has upside for the proponents through direct engagement: domiciling in BC has to be good for project proponents while increasing investment and benefits for BC."
— BC Energy Superpower Plan, retrieved 2026-10-13
"• We will reach out to proponents that left BC's LNG sector under a hostile or ambivalent BC NDP government.
• This includes ExxonMobil (exited in 2018), Chevron (exited in 2019 and no buyer found in 2021 so they wound down investment in BC), Petronas (cancelled Pacific NorthWest LNG a week after the NDP took office), and Woodside (exited 2021).
• Given the current global context, as soon as BC's investment doors are open under a new BC Conservative government, we will engage with former and new proponents for investment in natural gas and LNG in BC."
— BC Energy Superpower Plan, retrieved 2026-10-13
"We will urgently engage with First Nations, mayors, councils and proponents to ensure that the hospitals, schools and services in operating regions for natural gas and LNG are meeting top tier standards that can retain and attract BC talent with particular focus on support for Kitimat, Prince Rupert, Terrace and Dawson Creek and Fort St John as well as other cities and towns supporting the sector." — BC Energy Superpower Plan, retrieved 2026-10-13
"We will reach out to foreign investors looking at Alaska. BC has advantages that should be attractive enough to bring their capital to BC and Canada." — BC Energy Superpower Plan, retrieved 2026-10-13

“I’ll say this about SOGI. I think that it has become an absolute lightning rod for division in our province, and it has become a challenge. And I think that many people are confused about what SOGI has become in our school.
I firmly believe that we have to repeal SOGI. Obviously we have to provide a safe place for our kids. Just like I said in Bridgeview yesterday, I went as a child to the Bridgeview Elementary School and felt safe.
We need to continue that tradition. But I do believe that SOGI has to be repealed.”

"[DRIPA] has not created the security for British Columbians that it was meant to achieve. We are in court everywhere in this province. So the reality is it (DRIPA) has to be repealed…The challenges we have faced with First Nations and working together have been, no question, a very serious challenge. DRIPA hasn’t helped that, sadly.
We need a genuine path forward. And trust me when I say this, I am committed to working with First Nations. I am committed to building these projects together with First Nations, for the benefit of all of us. And I want partnerships with First Nations.
We need to make everyone equally successful here. And equally, both in a number of different ways – financially, socially, in all respects – we have to work together with our First Nations. And trust me when I say this, I am very committed to that."

Biographie
Kristina Loewen is the Incumbent Candidate for Kelowna Centre with the Conservative Party of BC and a longtime Kelowna resident who has spent more than 25 years living, working, raising her family, and contributing to the community she calls home.
The eldest of eight children, Kristina learned the importance of hard work, responsibility, and leadership from an early age. She and her husband, Andrew, have built their life together in the Okanagan and raised four children.
Before entering provincial politics, Kristina’s diverse career gave her a firsthand understanding of many of the challenges facing individuals and families. She worked as a care-aide and later as a doula, supporting families through some of life’s most important moments. She has also served as a youth and young adult leader and built a successful career in real estate, where she developed a strong understanding of housing, affordability, and the pressures facing families trying to build a future in the Okanagan.
Kristina was elected in 2024 as the first representative for the newly established riding of Kelowna Centre. Since then, she has focused on listening to residents and bringing their concerns forward - particularly on crime and community safety, access to health care, affordability, housing, support for seniors and vulnerable residents, and strengthening the local economy.
Kristina believes elected representatives should be accessible, accountable, and willing to stand up for the people they serve. Her approach is grounded in practical solutions, strong communities, fiscal responsibility, and ensuring that the voices of Kelowna Centre residents are heard in Victoria.
Kristina is seeking re-election as the Conservative Party of BC’s Incumbent Candidate for Kelowna Centre so she can continue that work and help build a safer, stronger, more affordable future for Kelowna and British Columbia.
Your Community. Your Values. Your Voice.
Raison de la candidature
I’m running again because there is still more work to do for Kelowna Centre, and I want to continue being a strong, accessible voice for the community I’m proud to call home.
Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of listening to residents, meeting with families, seniors, health-care professionals, local businesses and community organizations, and bringing their concerns directly to Victoria. Those conversations have shaped my priorities and reinforced why I chose to serve in the first place.
I believe people deserve a representative who listens, shows up and is willing to speak up when something isn’t working. Whether advocating for safer communities and stronger protections for victims, better access to health care, support for seniors and families, or a more affordable and prosperous future, my focus has always been on the people of Kelowna Centre.
I’m asking for the opportunity to continue that work. I want to build on what we have started, keep fighting for practical solutions and make sure Kelowna Centre has a strong voice in Victoria.
For me, public service is about being accountable to the people you represent, staying connected to your community and working every day to make it stronger. That is the commitment I have made to Kelowna Centre, and it is the commitment I will continue to bring if I am re-elected.
