Brad Tones

Mental Health, Drugs, & Addiction

Mental Health in Schools

I will definitely advocate for mental health resources in schools.

Public Safety & Policing

Police in Schools

Hopefully, if our anti bullying polices are working, there isn't a need for contact police in schools.

Reconciliation & Indigenous Nations

Indigenous Schooling

As we grow and learn about our history, it's important to teach children about where Canada came from.

Schools & Public Education

After-School Programs

Many parents need support with before and after-school care.
I will look at options to include a cost-effective program at each school.

Artificial Intelligence in Schools

AI is a very powerful tool. It can be VERY dangerous, but it can also be helpful to businesses after school. In school, we need to keep students informed of the dangers of AI.

Bullying & Bigotry

Bullying & bigotry are absolutely unacceptable. Schools need to be a safe place for kids to learn.

Childcare

Childcare is important and SD 42 has the ability to partner with organizations to provide childcare in the schools.

Indigenous Schooling

As we grow and learn about our history, it's important to teach children about where Canada came from.

Media Literacy & Critical Thinking

Literacy and Critical Thinking are important. I believe those skills are some of the most important for students to understand, as they will help them immensely in their careers.

Mental Health in Schools

I will definitely advocate for mental health resources in schools.

Neurodivergent Students & Support

I will push for additional resources for students who need. Plain and simple.

Police in Schools

Hopefully, if our anti bullying polices are working, there isn't a need for contact police in schools.

I want to help. I want to use my skills in the non-profit sector to allocate our budget responsibly. We need to get more support in the classroom for kids, teachers, and EAs

I see teachers, education assistants, and kids struggling in class every day. There's not enough support for the kids who need it, which means kids are struggling to keep up and teachers are struggling to do what they do best: teach the next generation of kids.
