Dale Bains has lived in Richmond since 1986. A high-school graduate of this city, he owned a trucking business until 2015 and now works as a heavy-duty mechanic at Deltaport. He and his wife – a Richmond teacher for 26 years – have raised three children here. Their kids have gone on to UBC, the University of Toronto, the Whitecaps academy, and city aquatics programs. Dale’s mother still volunteers at the Richmond Cultural Centre. He is running for City Council with the Conservative Electors Association as a working-class homeowner who will put Richmond families first.
