Biographie
Born and raised in Vancouver, Suzie grew up in Vancouver's east side and has raised a son who attended Vancouver schools. Suzie knows what our students need and understands our system inside out.
She holds a Masters of Education Degree as well as a Bachelor of Education from UBC. As a teacher, Suzie was a teacher union leader. She served as president of the Vancouver Elementary School Teachers Association (now VEAES) as well as a Member at Large at the BC Teachers Federation. Suzie in an expert in collective agreement bargaining and has achieved fair teacher contracts for both Vancouver and at the Provincial level. In her spare time, she loves giving back to the community and she enjoys volunteering for the Coastal Jazz Festival, Fringe Festival, PUSH Festival, and Vancouver Internation Film Festival. Sometimes you can find her singing karaoke when she is out and about.
