Felipe Guerra is running for office with a mission: to bring practical, community-centred leadership to Saskatoon University-Sutherland. As a family man, entrepreneur and community advocate, Felipe has been on a journey of resilience, dedication, and passion to create a better future for his family and for all of Saskatchewan’s people.

Originally from Chile, Felipe earned his degree in Marine Resources from the University of Lagos, focusing on environmental sustainability and the critical issue of water contamination affecting marine life. In 2008, at the age of 23, Felipe moved to Canada to further his studies on infectious diseases impacting marine ecosystems. After expanding his expertise, he returned to Chile, only to relocate to Canada permanently in 2011, first to New Brunswick and later to Saskatoon.

In search of better opportunities for himself, Felipe transitioned from his career in Marine Biology to study Heavy Duty Mechanics at a community college. This bold career change was part of his broader vision to build a stable and prosperous life in Canada, adapting and thriving in a new environment.

Today, Felipe is not only a passionate musician involved in Saskatoon's vibrant cultural scene, but he is also an entrepreneur focused on addressing one of the most essential issues facing communities in Saskatchewan: access to clean and safe drinking water. Through his business, Felipe offers clean, affordable and reliable water to families across the province, promoting easy access to an essential resource.

A devoted father to his 3-year-old son, Felipe understands firsthand the importance of creating a better future for the next generation. His deep connection to family drives his commitment to improve education and community services, strengthen the “opportunity economy” and ensure that every child’s neighbourhood is safe, sustainable, and inclusive.

Felipe’s experience – ranging from his scientific background in environmental health to his hands-on work in mechanics and entrepreneurship – gives him a unique perspective on the challenges families face today. Having lived in both Chile and Canada, Felipe knows all too well the trials of starting over, navigating public systems, and finding stability. These life experiences inform his vision for a Saskatchewan that works for everyone.

Felipe is an engaged resident of Saskatoon’s Queen Elizabeth neighbourhood, and he is ready to work for positive changes in the city he loves. He believes that our province can be a model for economic growth, environmental sustainability and inclusive community development. Felipe’s leadership will focus on ensuring that public services are truly accessible and that families have the resources they need to thrive.
