Ignacio is a business professional and entrepreneur originally from Uruguay who has called Canada home since 2010. He holds a Master’s of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Technology from the University of Waterloo. Ignacio has extensive experience fostering innovation and supporting high-potential ventures through leadership roles at the Waterloo Accelerator Centre, where he directed client services and strategic initiatives, and at Haltech Regional Innovation Centre, where he managed programs like Haltech HEAT to empower startups.
Ignacio is an entrepreneur at heart, innovator, and startup coach who serves as Assistant Director at ICUBE at the University of Toronto. In this role, he supports entrepreneurship initiatives focused on sustainability and social impact.
A champion of equity, diversity, and inclusion, Ignacio is the Chair of Positive Space at the University of Toronto, advocating for LGBTQ2S+ students, staff, and faculty. He is deeply committed to sustainability, promoting eco-conscious practices in entrepreneurship to foster ventures that prioritize environmental responsibility and contribute to a thriving, equitable future.
