        Alexa is a trusted community leader and change-maker. As a United Church minister and founder of the Stone Soup Network, she is focused on serving the needs of people struggling in the face of rising costs and a system that is stacked against them.

        She has spearheaded innovative programs like Neighbours Helping Neighbours, There For You initiative, and held Windermere United's first Trans Day of Remembrance. Her advocacy through Contagious Hope has driven campaigns to combat racism, xenophobia, homophobia, and transphobia, while amplifying efforts to expand refugee protections.

        Her work with the City of Toronto and grassroots organizations has delivered tangible results, including new shelter and affordable housing initiatives. Alexa is known for her bold, community-first approach, bringing people together with compassion, resilience, and vision.

        As a mother of five, Alexa understands firsthand the challenges families face, from unaffordable housing to accessing reliable healthcare and education. Her experience raising a diverse family, including neurodivergent and adopted children, has deepened her insight into systemic barriers and strengthened her resolve to advocate for equity and inclusion.
