Lorna is a proud mother and grandmother. She was born in Souris and raised in the Turtle Mountain District. She currently resides in Deloraine. Lorna has a background in accounting, early childhood education, and psychiatric nursing. She has been employed at Brandon University teaching in the psychiatric nursing department since 2014. Lorna has dedicated her life to educating psychiatric nurses and providing safe quality care for all Manitobans. She is a strong advocate for disability inclusion and advocates for reconciliation in the post-secondary environment. Lorna is also a strong advocate for rural infrastructure and economic development opportunities.
