Brea Huang Sami holds a Master's degree in comparative literature from Beijing Normal University, a Bachelor's degree in education, a diploma in accounting and is a designated CPA, CA. Brea is an experienced financial auditor having worked for over ten years with leading firms such as KPMG and DMCL. She has a keen analytical ability to find innovative and efficient ways to provide assurance, deliver value-added services, and anticipate how new and emerging risks and opportunities may impact our city. Brea is passionate about building a fair, diverse, inclusive and a sustainable community that embraces and empowers everyone to achieve their best potential. Brea championed the KPMG Family For Literacy program in Burnaby and was a candidate in Burnaby South in the 2021 federal election. Brea immigrated from China to Canada in 2005 and settled in Burnaby, where she along with her husband Vikash, an immigrant too from Fiji, are raising their family of 3 children.
