I am a husband and a father of two children, I became semi-retired in 2019 and focused on many things since then. Politics became an important one through and after the pandemic. As a founding member of the Canadian Future Party I feel a deep passion for our vision for Canada.
I am a lifelong resident of the Lloydminster region and as a 4th generation of the Barr Colonists and a 4th generation of Ukrainian immigrants, I feel strongly about my roots. I am a dedicated family man who unlike many, is more salt of the earth or the school of hard knocks than academically schooled. I have been in the construction industry since high school and took over the family business in 2000. From here, I branched out into General Contracting until semi-retiring in 2019. Somebody once told me that “not everyone needs a higher education to succeed but the passion” and that is exactly why I joined the CFP. This person, of course, is Dominic Cardy. I feel that I represent what the core of Canada is; the hard working, tax paying, blue collar worker and because of that, they deserve representation too. If so honored with a victory, I will make it my job to keep our government fair and honest, the same traits my father taught me from his years in municipal government. I feel deep pride and appreciation of being uniquely Canadian and also have great respect for our First Nations peoples, the Indigenous and Metis and eventhough I have never met any to date, the Inuit. . All of us, no matter where we fall in the great palette called life, and just as our national anthem states, come together to command a bigger and better Canada. We may be bent, but we are not broken. Let's mend it as one strong and united nation. A Northern Democratic Superpower that’s not left, not right, but forward.
