Born in Winnipeg, Jim has lived his entire life in the province of Manitoba. Jim's current primary focus is on raising his family and the management of his homestead, located on 160 acres on the eastern edge of beautiful Riding Mountain National Park.Having moved from near-Winnipeg 3 years ago, Jim and his wife Monique raise a variety of animals on their small scale farm and grow a large vegetable garden, with help from their three young sons.Jim home schools his three boys in a traditional fashion and runs his household, all while maintaining a diverse assortment of livestock including poultry, cattle and swine.Much of Jim's adult life has been spent working in the automotive parts industry, including 12years operating his own specialty automotive parts store. After a successful run, the business was sold, allowing Jim the opportunity to spend more time with family and pursue other work of greater interest.Jim has had a lifelong passion for art and all things creative. After spending 5 years tattooing professionally in Winnipeg, Jim and his wife sold their home in Narol and decided to move to larger piece of property where they could live with their young family, far from the disquiet of the big city.
