John Odan Ede is a naturalized Canadian who immigrated to Canada in 2017, seeking the promise and opportunities the country offers. He is married to his childhood love, and together they are raising their two daughters and son in Vancouver.

Originally trained as a chemical engineer, John holds a Master’s in Public Policy and Global Affairs from the University of British Columbia and is a certified Project Management Professional.

Throughout his time at UBC Vancouver, he has been deeply involved in student and staff advocacy, serving as President of the Graduate Student Society and as a Board Member at Large for the Association of Administrative and Professional Staff. His commitment to leadership, policy, and community engagement continues to shape his dedication to building a better future for Canadians.
