Biographie

de leur site web

Scott is a Software Engineer who has spent most of his life in the Ottawa area. He graduated from Carleton and considers himself fortunate to have been able to find rewarding work at local high-tech companies large and small here without having to move away from family.

Scott is a huge computer nerd, having been fascinated by computers and what they could do since first laying eyes on them. (yes, in the 1970s) He has worked mostly in embedded systems, on Operating Systems, drivers, BSPs, and protocols up and down the stack. He still thinks that “Full Stack Developer” should be reserved for someone who can write an Ethernet driver and a TCP implementation from scratch. He has several patents from Nortel days, and wrote a tragically unpublished RFC draft.

Scott has done a fair bit of volunteer work over the years, much of it revolving around the middle kid. He's not the type to take him to an activity and not help out, and that’s how he got involved in Scouts, Special Olympics skating, and various special-needs sports and recreational programs around town. He has also coached soccer over the years for all three kids. At one time his only political experience was to have yelled at Joe Clark's Granddaughter on a soccer field.

He is an enthusiastic photographer, who has done photography for Kanata Ballet School for many years, and some more recently at several other schools. He is a middlin guitar player who has been teaching special-needs kids in Dunrobin for a few years.

Scott got involved in politics in 2019 because he was attracted to the policies of the PPC, and ran as the candidate in that election. With a minority government elected, it seemed prudent to save the signs. And suddenly here we are in 2021, running again.

The world has changed since 2019, and mostly not for the better. Blinded by fear, we have faced an unprecedented assault on our civil liberties and our way of life. Courage and clarity are needed to restore Canada to the place we thought we were. The need for the PPC has never been greater.
