What Drives My Policies?
As an insurance agent and a renter paying $1,800 for a basement apartment, I see firsthand how the rising cost of living, lack of healthcare access, and worsening climate crisis affect people in Kingston and the Islands. My policies are shaped by these real-life experiences and the urgent need for action. I am committed to making government work for people—not for corporations, party insiders, or wealthy donors.
Subject: A Common Vision: Affordability, Sustainability, and Local Control
What Do All Your Policies Have in Common?
Every policy I support is focused on affordability, sustainability, and local decision-making. My platform is built around concrete, achievable solutions to improve quality of life and strengthen our communities.
Subject: Delivering Results for Kingston and the Islands
What Would Your Goal Be If Elected?
My goal is simple: deliver real results that make life better for people in Kingston and the Islands. That means:
Housing and Cost of Living

- Creating an Ontario Renters' Bill of Rights to ensure fair treatment for tenants
- Cutting taxes for low- and middle-income earners, saving individuals up to $1,700 per year
- Doubling ODSP and OW rates so people living with disabilities and those in need can afford basic necessities
- Ending taxpayer subsidies for fossil fuel companies and redirecting funds to affordable energy solutions
Healthcare
- Recruiting 3,500 new doctors to ensure every Ontarian has a primary care provider within three to four years
- Expanding nurse practitioner-led clinics and pharmacist-led care to reduce wait times and increase access to healthcare
- Increasing funding for rural hospitals and cutting their local cost share in half so they can focus on patient care instead of fundraising
- Guaranteeing access to mental health services and treating mental health like physical health in our healthcare system
- Implementing a dental care program so no one has to choose between groceries and dental work
Climate Action and Energy
- Reducing energy bills by offering free heat pumps for households earning under $100,000 and zero-interest loans for others
- Building a local energy grid in Kingston to give our community control over clean, reliable, and affordable power
- Restoring and expanding Conservation Authorities’ powers to protect wetlands, forests, and water sources from development
- Investing in public transit to make commuting easier and reduce emissions
- Banning new fossil fuel infrastructure to transition Ontario toward 100 percent clean energy
Food Security and Farmland Protection
- Creating an Ontario Foodbelt to permanently protect farmland and ensure food security
- Investing in local farmers by supporting sustainable agriculture and expanding farm-to-table programs
- Providing grants for urban and community gardens so more people can grow fresh, healthy food
Infrastructure and Rural Services
- Fixing municipal infrastructure by accelerating funding to repair stormwater systems, roads, bridges, and power lines
- Bringing back ambulance service to Wolfe Island to ensure emergency care is available when residents need it
- Making the Wolfe Island ferry more reliable because residents deserve better transportation options
Why Vote Green?
The other parties haven't even released a fully costed platform yet—the Ontario Greens have. If you want real solutions, not empty promises, the Green Party is the fiscally responsible choice. We don’t whip votes, which means I answer to you, not party bosses.
If you’re a Conservative voter who cares about responsible spending, or an NDP voter frustrated with inaction, the Green Party is your home. Let’s build a better future together.
Affordability
Childcare
Promesse de Zachary Typhair
We’ll create a universal, publicly funded childcare system that covers all families, regardless of income. By increasing provincial funding, we’ll reduce fees for parents and ensure fair wages for childcare workers. We’ll also work with municipalities to expand local services and provide flexible care options for parents, making it easier for families to access the support they need. This will be fully integrated with other family services, creating a seamless, comprehensive support system for Ontario’s working families.
Food costs
Promesse de Zachary Typhair
To address rising food costs, we’ll invest in local food production and sustainable farming practices to reduce reliance on imported goods. We’ll break up the monopolies that control much of the food supply, creating more competition and driving prices down. Supporting farmers with incentives for environmentally friendly practices will also help ensure local, healthy food is more accessible. Additionally, we’ll expand programs that provide nutritious meals to those in need, ensuring that no one has to choose between paying bills and putting food on the table.
Fuel and transportation costs
Promesse de Zachary Typhair
To reduce fuel and transportation costs, we’ll invest in expanding public transit networks, making them more accessible, affordable, and environmentally friendly. We’ll subsidize fares for low-income individuals and introduce electric vehicle incentives to reduce reliance on fossil fuels. This will create more jobs in sustainable transportation and clean energy sectors, reducing costs while building a greener future.

Biographie
My life experiences have fueled my passion for making a difference in my community. Growing up in Kingston, I’ve always felt a strong connection to the people and land. As an insurance agent, I’ve seen the struggles people face with affordability and navigating complex systems, driving my commitment to advocate for fair and practical policies.
My political involvement began with running as the Green Party of Ontario candidate in the 2022 provincial election and later in a municipal race. These experiences deepened my understanding of Kingston’s key issues, like affordable housing, income inequality, and environmental sustainability. Serving as a campaign manager for the federal Green Party candidate in Kingston and the Islands further taught me the importance of teamwork, communication, and community engagement.
In addition to politics, I’ve volunteered at local shelters and worked with advocacy groups focused on social and environmental justice. These experiences underscored the value of grassroots action and how collective efforts can drive meaningful change.
Overall, my personal and professional experiences have strengthened my commitment to building a fairer, greener future for Ontario and continue to drive my efforts for community progress.
Raison de la candidature
I'm running because I understand the challenges that so many Ontarians face. With 2.2 million people, including myself, without a family doctor, and rising living costs putting pressure on everyone, I believe we need leadership that’s focused on solutions. I’ve seen how rising insurance premiums, skyrocketing housing costs, and limited healthcare access make everyday life harder. People are struggling, and the system is broken.
That’s why I’m committed to building a more affordable, sustainable, and accessible Ontario. I believe that everyone deserves quality healthcare, affordable housing, and a government that listens to its people, not corporate donors. If elected, I’ll fight for policies that make life better for you, your family, and future generations. It’s time to put people first, and that starts with ensuring that every Ontarian has access to the services they need to thrive.
