Affordability

Cell and Internet services

Promesse de Allen Schultz

Continue Alberta's commitment of Universal High Speed Internet

One of the key components to fight inflation is increasing productivity. Governments can and should be more proactive by adopting policies that more directly promote productivity-enhancing activities.

Productivity is not about working longer and harder. Productivity also applies to innovation and growth in product development.

R&D and technical services relies heavily on the internet. If rural communities are not participants on the internet, they are not part of Alberta's growth in productivity.

Having rural communities participating in new growth areas such as technology also lends itself to improving affordability. Many of the urban centres are having issues with affordable living conditions. Newly minted professionals will have a harder time to establish themselves in urban centres and rural areas presents an opportunity for these professionals to be productive in an affordable way as well as contributing to improving these small communities.

The "Universal High Speed Internet" has been discussed already. (https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/making-connections-a-look-at-alberta-s-plan-for-universal-high-speed-internet-access-1.6389142).

The issue is that the Alberta government is waiting for Federal involvement. Alberta Party will commit to improving internet access regardless of the Federal foot dragging.

Allen is a resident of Alberta who is passionate about environmental sustainability and responsible fiscal policies. He is an advocate for net zero emission initiatives and believes that transitioning to green energy is necessary for a sustainable future. However, he is also aware of the challenges that come with this transition and is concerned about the potential negative impacts on businesses and individuals, particularly those who may not be able to afford the costs of green energy adoption.

Allen is an experienced professional with a background in electrical engineering and computer science. He has worked in various industries, including energy, technology and business development, and has a strong understanding of economic principles and the importance of fiscal responsibility. Allen is also a keen observer of politics and believes that governments should play a role in promoting social capital, but not at the expense of fiscal responsibility and business growth.

In his spare time, Allen enjoys astrophotography and is an advocate for reducing light pollution. He believes that the beauty of the night sky is something that should be preserved for future generations. Allen is committed to making a positive impact in his community and in the world, and believes that responsible environmental policies and sustainable economic development can go hand in hand.

Raison de la candidature

The reason that I chose to enter politics is that I feel that we need to represent Albertans provincially and federally as Canadians. I feel that "Never gonna give you up" has been the theme of the past and we need to be honest with Albertans in our governance.
