CEO | Business Consultant | Langley City Parent | Community Leader
I bring my experience solving complex problems for businesses across Canada to the challenges facing our schools: the need for classroom space, budget accountability, and genuine advocacy with the province.

As Founder and CEO of Chops Consulting, I’ve spent my career solving complex operational problems for businesses across Canada. I bring that same strategic mindset to the challenges facing our schools: the need for more classroom space, real accountability for how funding is spent, and genuine advocacy with the province.

I’ve lived in Langley City for eleven years. My two children attend school in Langley City. I’ve led presentations in my kids’ classrooms, attended field trips, and supported the new accessible playground equipment at Uplands through a donation to the Langley School District Foundation.

This isn’t a political ambition. It’s a community one. Langley City is adding thousands of new residents, yet no new school site has even been identified. Both current City-seat trustees live in the Township. Our families deserve someone who wakes up every morning in the same city they represent.

Relevant Experience for this role:

Real Estate & Land Development

The background to navigate school site acquisition.

Overseeing school site acquisition and disposition is a core trustee responsibility. I have completed the Urban Land Economics program at UBC’s Sauder School of Business and my background is in commercial real estate appraisal, valuation, and development planning. I even participated in the appraisals of the Bradshaw and Lochiel school sites by the Langley School District.

Financial Analysis & Budgeting

Accountability starts with understanding the numbers.

School boards manage hundreds of millions in public funds. My background in economics, accounting, and financial analysis spans coursework at both UBC and SFU, plus fourteen years of applied experience: pro forma modelling, investment analysis, running companies, and serving as Director of Operations for PROFiX Accounting & Strategy, a legal accounting firm.

Operations & Problem Solving

Getting things done inside complex systems.

As CEO of Chops Consulting, I help established businesses and nonprofits cut through complexity and get results. School boards are large, bureaucratic organizations with competing stakeholders and limited resources. That’s exactly the environment I work in every day. I know how to build compelling cases, work across political lines, and push for outcomes rather than just positions. I also have governance experience through my director role at Langley Care Society and Langley Care Foundation.

Understanding Learning Needs

Parent, teacher, and student

I taught piano, tutored Math and English, and run a business coaching program. I’m currently a post-graduate student at SFU, so I understand modern education challenges, including AI in the classroom and online learning platforms, topics the district has not yet meaningfully addressed. I also have two kids in elementary school and have observed firsthand the challenges teachers face in their classrooms.

Representation | Advocacy | Financial Stability
Our schools deserve representation from Langley-City residents who will advocate for our schools' needs here. I see the challenges parents and students are facing: capacity, support and inclusion, and want to work to solve them.

As a City of Langley resident of 11 years and parent with two children in elementary school, I’m not watching the Langley school district from the sidelines; I’m living it with my family every day.

I see the challenges parents and students are facing. Capacity. Support. Inclusion. These are real struggles that impact student learning and wellbeing.

As Founder and CEO of Chops Consulting, I’ve spent my career solving complex operational challenges for businesses across Canada. I bring that same strategic mindset to the problems facing our schools: the need for more classroom space, better communication, and genuine advocacy with the province.
