Hunter spent twenty years doing the jobs that keep B.C. running: fighting wildfires, securing our courts, working our mines and supporting kids in our classrooms.

He runs a small business and is raising two daughters. He has also engaged with our healthcare system through his cancer journey. Hunter knows where this province works and where it is letting people down, and he is running to be a part of the solution in making life better.

Hunter’s experience includes serving as a BC Sheriff Service officer, working on the City of Cranbrook encampment response and participating in the Cranbrook Situation Table. He has worked as a plant and equipment operator and union steward at Teck Elkview and as an exploration project manager. His emergency response experience includes serving as a wildfire initial attack crew leader and Incident Commander, as well as volunteering with Search & Rescue.

Hunter holds a Diploma in Tourism & Recreation Management from the College of the Rockies and a Sheriff Training Certificate from the Justice Institute of BC.

He is the owner-operator of an exploration logistics and hardscape company. In his community, he has served as past president of the Wildhorse Cycling Club and as a Special Olympics ski coach.

Hunter is running to fight for safer communities, resource jobs, strong schools, better healthcare and lower taxes.
