Biographie
West Vancouver has been part of my family’s story for three generations, my husband and I are raising our two sons in the community.
Over the past 15 years I have been actively involved with local families and schools, supporting fundraisers, organizing events and helping with initiatives that bring neighbours together. These experiences have given me a firsthand understanding of the issues affecting families, young people and residents across West Vancouver.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Victoria and a Diploma in Interior Design and Architecture. My professional career has included operations, human resources, business development, customer service, digital businesses, interior design and housing. I have lived and worked in Canada, Costa Rica, London and Ireland. Earlier in my career, I worked as a youth support worker, an experience that taught me the importance of listening carefully, understanding individual circumstances and addressing the causes of problems rather than only reacting to the symptoms. Whereas, my Interior Design profession has taught me that the best solutions begin with understanding the people they are intended to serve. I would apply that same principle on Council by listening first, balancing different needs and making practical decisions for the community.

Raison de la candidature
I care deeply about protecting the natural beauty, neighbourhood character and quality of life that make our community exceptional. I also recognize that we must prepare responsibly for changing housing needs, growing transportation pressures, aging infrastructure and emerging public safety concerns. Protecting what we value does not mean resisting all change. Our community must also respond responsibly to changing housing needs, growing transportation pressures, aging roads and utilities, climate risks and emerging public safety concerns. Seniors should have opportunities to downsize without leaving West Vancouver, families need more smart housing choices, and local workers need realistic options closer to where they work.
Growth must be coordinated with transit, roads, water, sewer and drainage so essential services keep pace. It also requires responsible budgeting, clear priorities and early public engagement. My goal is to help West Vancouver evolve carefully, addressing today’s challenges without losing the qualities that made people choose to build their lives here.
