Stewardship is the core duty of local governance. I am running for re-election because a growing city cannot rely on short-term fixes or deferred bills, it requires responsible, evidence-based planning that secures our long-term future.

When I was elected in 2022, Langford faced years of deferred infrastructure maintenance, underfunded emergency services, and growth that wasn't paying its full share for the strain it placed on community assets. Our recent investigation into the city's assets found we were only paying for 20% of the city's long term liabilities.

This term, we did the heavy lifting to fix those structural gaps. We established long-term asset management plans, modernized developer contribution frameworks so growth pays its fair share, hired dedicated bylaw and safety personnel, and expanded local parks and active transportation.

So why am I running, what is the path forward? True stewardship means leaving our city on better footing for the next generation. In the coming term, I am focused on executing our long-term infrastructure strategy, protecting renters and green spaces, restoring regional transit like South Island rail, and maintaining rigorous fiscal discipline so Langford remains vibrant, livable, and financially resilient.
