Kelowna helped shape me into the husband, father, entrepreneur, coach, and community advocate I am today. This city has given my family opportunities, meaningful relationships, and a strong sense of belonging. I am running for Kelowna City Council because I believe public service is one of the most important ways I can give back to the community that has given me so much.

My family is at the heart of my decision to run. As a husband and father, I think about the kind of Kelowna our children will inherit and whether they will be able to afford to live, work, raise families, and build their futures here. I want them to grow up in a city that is safe, welcoming, economically strong, and prepared for continued growth. Like many families, we experience the effects of City Hall decisions in our daily lives—from housing costs, traffic, transportation, and public safety to parks, recreation, childcare, and access to community services.

As the owner and operator of a licensed childcare business with two locations, I understand the opportunities and challenges facing local families, employees, and small-business owners. Building and growing a childcare organization has given me direct experience with budgeting, staffing, provincial and municipal regulations, licensing, permitting, facility planning, and business development. It has also shown me how government decisions affect the people who are working hard to build something, employ others, and serve their community.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, I served as a Regional Sales Manager with Shaw Cable, overseeing the Okanagan, Thompson-Fraser, and Northern British Columbia regions. That role taught me how to lead teams across diverse communities, manage budgets, set priorities, solve problems, and remain responsible for measurable results. It also reinforced the importance of listening to people on the ground before making decisions that affect them.

My commitment to Kelowna extends well beyond my professional life. I serve as President of the OKGN Sports and Cultural Society, where our focus is community, inclusion, and youth. I have also served in leadership and volunteer roles with the Uptown Rutland Business Association, Kelowna Men’s Soccer League, Rutland Youth Soccer Association, the Early Childhood Educators of BC Regulatory Board, Kelowna Civic and Community Awards Steering Committee, Project Literacy, and the Sprott Shaw College Curriculum Advisory Board.

These experiences have allowed me to work alongside families, educators, business owners, volunteers, athletes, cultural organizations, and community leaders. They have taught me that strong communities are built when people feel heard, organizations work together, and leaders are willing to show up and take responsibility.

My previous campaign for City Council strengthened my understanding of municipal government and gave me the opportunity to hear directly from residents throughout Kelowna. Those conversations reinforced that people want leadership grounded in honesty, common sense, accessibility, and practical action. They want representatives who will listen, return their phone calls, explain their decisions, and remain connected to the community between elections.

I am not running because I believe one person has every answer. I am running because I know how to bring people together, ask difficult questions, manage competing priorities, and work toward solutions that reflect the real needs of residents. I believe City Council must balance growth with infrastructure, public safety with compassionate support, new housing with the rights of existing neighbourhoods and property owners, and long-term planning with the financial realities facing families today.

If elected, my goal will be to help build a Kelowna that is safe, affordable, well managed, and prepared for the future. I will bring proven leadership, honesty, common sense, and a commitment to listening to City Hall. Most importantly, I will work to ensure Kelowna remains a city our children are proud to call home.
