PRIORITY 1
Student Success & Achievement
Every student deserves a strong foundation. Benjamin will champion evidence-based curricula, early literacy intervention, and measurable learning outcomes across all grade levels — because student success is the whole point.
PRIORITY 2
Mental Health & Well-being
Supporting mental health isn't separate from learning — it is essential to learning. Benjamin is committed to ensuring meaningful well-being supports are in place so every student feels safe, seen, and ready to grow.
PRIORITY 3
Families & Educators First
Strong schools are built on strong relationships. Benjamin will work to deepen trust between the board, families, and educators — ensuring their voices shape the decisions that affect their students and classrooms every day.
PRIORITY 4
Careers, Trades & Post-Secondary
Whether a student's path leads to university, the skilled trades, entrepreneurship, or another career entirely — Benjamin believes schools should equip every graduate with the confidence, skills, and options to succeed in the future that is right for them.
PRIORITY 5
Fiscal Accountability
Every dollar entrusted to the school district should be invested thoughtfully, transparently, and with one simple question in mind: How does this improve outcomes for students? Responsible financial decisions keep students first.
SUPPORTING
Modern Infrastructure
Safe, accessible, and well-equipped schools create the conditions for all five priorities to thrive. Benjamin will advocate for school environments that reflect the investment Abbotsford's students deserve.
PLATFORM GOALS
Commitments You Can Hold Me Accountable To
These are not talking points — they are specific, measurable goals Benjamin will champion on the Abbotsford School Board from day one.
STUDENT SUCCESS
Literacy & Numeracy First
Strong foundations in reading, writing, and math are the starting point for every student's success. Benjamin will champion evidence-based approaches that support all learners before gaps have a chance to grow.
Mental Health Supports
Students cannot learn if they are not well. Benjamin will advocate for meaningful, accessible mental health supports in schools — because when students feel supported, they thrive.
Inclusive Special Education
Every student with diverse needs deserves individualized support and a trained team around them. Benjamin will work to ensure this happens in every classroom across the district.
Career & Skills Pathways
Expand trades, technology, and entrepreneurship programs in high schools to prepare graduates for the real economy.
Meeting Families Where They Are At
Every family has a different situation — work schedules, language barriers, and life circumstances all shape how families can be involved. Rather than expecting traditional involvement, Benjamin will champion flexible, accessible ways for families to stay connected and engaged in their child's education.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Open Dialogue
Benjamin believes trustees should be accessible and accountable. Whether through Q&A sessions, community conversations, or direct outreach, he is committed to staying open, responsive, and genuinely connected to the families and community he serves.
Indigenous Education Leadership
Abbotsford School District is already doing important work to advance Indigenous education, and Benjamin will continue to champion those efforts — supporting meaningful partnerships, cultural programming, and the ongoing journey toward reconciliation.

Raison de la candidature
I’m running for School Trustee because I believe the future of Abbotsford begins in our classrooms. Every decision made by the Board of Education has the potential to shape the lives of students, strengthen families, and build a stronger community.
Having grown up in Abbotsford and attended our public schools from kindergarten through graduation, I know the impact that dedicated teachers, supportive staff, and engaged families can have on a student’s future. Those experiences helped shape who I am today and inspired my commitment to giving back.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring and developing hundreds of young people as they begin their careers, helping them build confidence, leadership skills, and a vision for their future. That experience has reinforced my belief that every student has unique strengths and deserves the opportunity to discover what success looks like for them.
As Trustee, I will be a collaborative, student-focused leader who values parent voice, supports educators, and makes responsible decisions that put students first. I want every student to leave our schools prepared not only to graduate, but to thrive—whether their path leads to university, the trades, the workforce, entrepreneurship, or another passion.
I’m running because I believe in the potential of Abbotsford’s students, and because investing in them is the greatest investment we can make in our community’s future.
